TL DR: I'm keeping it, because it is simply better. But I like the shape of the mouse a lot, so I ordered a V2 from Amazon anyway and decided to return it, if I don't like it.
It's impossible to glue them back to the mouse, because the plastic surface is too smooth/polished/shiny and a normal super glue simply doesn't stick to the plastic.Īt this point I wasn't sure, if I should get the V2, because of the Razer build quality and all these negative reviews about the V2. So a fail rate of 100% for the rubbers on the sides. I haven't checked my first sample to see, if it was Chinese or Taiwanese. I read somewhere that the Taiwan samples are worse than the Chinese ones. The second sample went as well for replacement. A month later the rubber on the left side (inner side) fell off.
You can find a lot of information about it, if you Google it. After the first month I noticed the double-clicking issue on the left button. The second Elite "survived" for only 2 months. The Razer support is nice and the people reply to Emails, but you still have to wait. I've sent it back on January 6th 2020 and received a replacement on February 14th 2020 after numerous emails. So, after 11 months of use, the rubber on the right side (outside) fell off and the mouse went back to Razer for replacement. I'm mostly playing shooters (Fortnite, CS GO, CoD Warzone, etc.). That means about 3 hours/day on average and only about 1 hour/day on overage of gaming. The first one survived for about 11 months of low usage. I've had 2 DeathAdder Elites before buying the V2 and I've used them for a bit more than a year. I read a lot of negative reviews about the V2 and decided to write my own after using it for a bit more than a week, because I think that the people writing the negative reviews are simply wrong. I'm writing this review, because I wasn't sure if I should get the V2 or not after my second DA Elite broke down.
